Easter Holidays

Lac La Biche County Libraries main branch will be closed on Friday, April 7th thru Monday, April 10th for Easter holidays. The Plamondon Branch will be closed from Monday, April 3rd thru Monday, April 10th for Spring Break. Both branches will reopen on Tuesday, April 11th. We thank you for your understanding.

Just because the snow is falling doesn't mean your kids grades need to as well. Lac La Biche County Libraries have many resources to help students succeed in school. Here are just a few that you can access with a valid library card.

Brainfuse

This resource offers students learning support from kindergarten up to grade 12. There is also support for university courses, adult learners, and resume writing. Students can chat live with online tutors and create customized study aids.

Creativebug

It's time to get your crafting on with our educational video resource, Creativebug. There are kid-specific classes on how to make a wide variety of crafts and even more science experiments. With more than 5,000 classes ranging from sewing to making holiday décor taught by artists, there is something for everyone no matter their interest or skill level. 

Explora Canada

Explora supports both student research and classroom instruction with rich, reliable content and easy-to-use functionality.

Linked In Learning

LinkedIn Learning, formerly Lynda.com, is an online learning library that helps you learn business, software, technology and creative skills with just your library card. LinkedIn Learning's new catalogue offers over 16,000 new courses in a variety of languages including computer software, learning an instrument, and digital photography.

Pronunciator

Learn 163 languages with Pronunciator. Featuring live tutors, movies, music with lyrics, pronunciation analysis, quizzes, a customizable interface and more.

Solaro

Solaro provides Alberta-specific curriculum for grades 3-12 that you can access from your home. You can even take a quick quiz to make sure you aren’t rusty for diploma exams or work through course lessons.
