Lac La Biche County Libraries will be closed on Friday Sept 30th 2022 in observance of Truth and Reconciliation Day. We will reopen on Saturday Oct 1st at 11 am. Lac La Biche County Libraries will be closed on Monday October 10th 2022 for Thanksgiving and will reopen at 9 am Tuesday October 11th 2022.

LLBCL has a lot of resources to help teens with studying and their homework help needs.

Brainfuse HelpNow

This resource offers students learning support from kindergarten up to grade 12. There is also support for university courses, adult learners, and resume writing. Students can chat live with online tutors and create customized study aids to their learning needs.

Novelist K-8

NoveList K-8 Plus fills all your read-alike needs for young readers. It contains reading recommendations for fiction and non-fiction and can be used to find just the right book for kids in Kindergarten to Grade 8. Written by public librarians, teachers and school media specialists, you know these recommendations are coming from read-alike experts.

Explora

Explora Primary is designed specifically for elementary school students providing access to articles, facts from magazines and reference books for research papers, class projects or homework.  For teachers we have the Explora Educator's Edition which references the Alberta Curriculum.

Solaro

Solaro provides the same great Alberta-specific curriculum information you find in their Keys and SNAP publications. You can create a Solaro account and work through course lessons, reviews and quizzes, tracking your progress as you go. It covers grades 3-12 Alberta curriculum.

TeenBookCloud

Features over 1000 digital titles for students in Grades 7 to 12 including graphic novels, classic literature, and National Geographic. TeenBookCloud is an online streaming resource designed for middle school and high school students that features more than 1,000 titles. It contains an AP English section and even has narration and line-by-line highlighting to help with text tracking.

Freading

This site currently provides access to about 22,000 titles from over 100 publishers and new titles are being added regularly. Read on your computer or transfer to a portable device. One difference between Freading and the library's other e-book service is that Freading titles are always available so there is no wait.
