The next Virtual Family Challenge started on Wednesday, May 6th. We want to see your own comic strip creations in either digital or print format. This family activity can be submitted by posting in the comments, sending it via messenger or e-mailing the Library Director using icon on our homepage. All entries are due on Tuesday, May 19th. Prizes will be awarded after all the challenges have been completed.

Next installment of RighT at Home featuring Joanne and hosted by the Lac La Biche County Libraries will be released on Thursday, May 14th. Join us for a fun time featuring stories, songs, rhymes, and crafts. The link will be posted on our website under the latest news section and Facebook page.

The Lac La Biche County Libraries Summer Literacy Program offers 7-10 free virtual literacy tutoring sessions to children currently in grades K to 5. Sessions will take place during the months of June, July and August. There are a limited number of spots available, but we hope to serve as many students as possible. If you would like your child to be a part of this program, please complete the online form (https://short.llbcl.ca/SLP) before Friday, May 29th. If you have any questions about this program contact the Library Director Monday- Friday between hours of 2-4pm at 780-520-8695.

Service update:

All branches of Lac La Biche County Libraries including book drops and pop up locations, are closed until further notice to help limit the spread of COVID-19. Library Members have access to online e-resources and all due dates, hold pick up dates and memberships have been extended to July 31st. Nothing to read or watch because you do not have a library membership? Never fear, here is a link to sign up for a new library card - https://short.llbcl.ca/MembershipApp. Once it is submitted, then one of our staff will enter your data the next business day.

Library Staff will be working from home and available from Monday - Friday between 9-4pm to aid with our e-resources. Please use the e-mail icon at the top of our website or send us a message via Facebook. Phone calls to the Library Director will be answered between hours of 2-4pm (780-520-8695). We will make every effort to respond to you as soon as possible.
