Christmas Hours: Plamondon Branch will be closed from Monday, December 24th thru Sunday, January 6th. Main branch will be closed from Tuesday, December 25th reopening on Thursday, December 27th and closed on Tuesday, January 1st. On Christmas Eve and New Years Eve we will close at 3pm. We wish everyone a fantastic holiday season and look forward to serving you in 2019.

Do you like science fiction, fantasy, steampunk, comics, gaming, or anime? Then come join us at our Annual Library Con! This is a pop culture convention is taking place during our Winter Reading Club 2019 on Saturday, January 12th. So don your cape, grab your mask, jump in your TARDIS and join us at the Stuart MacPherson Public Library where we will have activities for all ages from 11-3:30pm including a costume contest. There will be vendors, author presentation, crafts, an introductory session to Magic: The Gathering trading card game and special games on XBOX, Nintendo Switch and our Virtual Reality unit.

Maker Wednesdays is held at the main branch from 6:30-7:30pm during the months of September - June. All ages are welcome to attend this free program.

Rhyme Time resumes on Thursday, January 17th starting at 10:30am in the Wild Rose Room. This free drop in partner program between the Lac La Biche County Libraries and Parent Link is designed for ages 0 to 5.

Paper Crafts & More runs in the library on Fridays from 11am-3:30pm.

2019 Winter Reading Club. All ages are welcome to participate in the Winter Reading Club. Track every minute spent reading for the months of January and February for a chance to amazing prizes! To ensure your chance to win, please fill in our online form available on our home page under the quick links.

Roaming Rhyme Time will resume on Tuesday, January 22nd from 10:30 -11:30am in Plamondon at the Festival Center. This is a fee drop in partner program between the library and Parent Link designed for 0-5 years old and their caregivers. Remote Circulation will also be available.

Rattle and Chat (0-17months) is free drop in partner program between Lac La Biche County Libraries, Alberta Health, and Parent Link held on Wednesdays from 10:30-11:30am starting on January 16th running until February 20th.

Science in Motion Presents: Bite-Size Science on Wednesday, January 30th from 6:30-7:30pm at the Stuart MacPherson Public Library. Come join us as we explore the various fields of science with a variety of demonstrations sure to spark the interests of everyone and satisfy their craving of science.
