The Lac La Biche County Library Board is seeking a new Youth Board Member, Youth Ambassador and Member at Large. Resumes & cover letters should be dropped off at the main branch by Monday, October 29th. Please contact Maureen Penn at 780-623-7467 for more information.

Storyteller and visual artist Karen Gummo
will be visiting our libraries on October 16th as part of the Young Alberta Book Society Taleblazers tour. She will be sharing her stories with Teens & Adults at the Plamondon Branch at 10:00am and Stuart MacPherson Branch at 2:00pm.

Rhyme Time
runs on Thursdays starting at 10:30am in the Wild Rose Room. This free drop in partner program between the Lac La Biche County Libraries and Parent Link is designed for ages 0 to 5.

Roaming Rhyme Time resumes on Tuesday, October 9th & 23rd from 10:30 -11:30am in Plamondon at the Festival Center. This is a fee drop in partner program between the library and Parent Link designed for 0-5 years old and their caregivers. Remote Circulation will also be available.

Happening Homeschoolers will be held on Friday, September 28th at the Sir Winston Churchill Park and October 26th in the Wild Rose Room. The October event will feature quilting and community service information. Both sessions will start at 1:30pm and all homeschooling families are welcome to attend.

Paper Crafts & More runs on Fridays at the main branch from 11am-3:30pm.

Maker Wednesdays
is held at the main branch from 6:30-7:30pm during the months of September - June. All ages are welcome to attend this free program.

RISE: Homeowner Basics will be held on October 17th from 6:30-8:00pm at the main branch. Participants will learn about the costs involved in purchasing and maintaining a home. They will also learn what is required to qualify for a mortgage and decide whether renting or owning is better for them.

Escape Room: The Infection
. Do you have what it takes to stop the outbreak and find the cause of the virus before your family and friends are infected. Solve puzzles, hunt for clues, and try not to get thrown off by false leads. This free after-hours event is for teens and adults (12+) and will be held on Friday, October 26th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. There will be food, fun and refreshments, plus prizes for quickly stopping the infection from spreading.
