TD Summer Reading Club: Summer’s End Party will be held in the Wild Rose Room on Wednesday, August 29th from 2:00 – 4:00pm. Join us for food, fun and prizes.

The sight of low-lying clouds in the distance; the first drop of water that hits your cheek; the steady sound of a heavy downpour— rain can be welcomed or considered menacing depending on the context. The works selected for this exhibition, Rain Dance, all illustrate moments within this perpetual cycle—from heat waves, drought and forest fires to rainstorms and flood. TREX Art Exhibit: Rain Dance will be on display at the main branch from Saturday, September 1st to Tuesday, September 25th.

Rattle and Chat
will run on Wednesday September 5th - October 10th from 10:30 -11:30am in the Wild Rose Room. This free partner program between Lac La Biche County Libraries & Parent Link is designed for ages 0 - 17 months and their caregivers with no registration required.

Registration for Read and Roll is now open! Call 780-623-7467 for more details or to add your child (aged 3 or 4) to the list. This free partner program between the Lac La Biche County Libraries, Parent Link and Alberta Health Services will run on Thursdays from September 13th - December 13th. Come read books and then roll with activities to explore the story concepts.

Rhyme Time will be back on Thursday, September 13th in the Wild Rose Room staring at 10:30am. This free drop in partner program between the Lac La Biche County Libraries and Parent Link is designed for ages 0 to 5 and no registration is required.

Plamondon Municipal Library is a joint use facility that services as a public library and school learning commons and this location will be closed during the month of August to enable the staff time to prepare for the upcoming school year. Reopens on Tuesday, September 4th.

Roaming Rhyme Time
resumes on Tuesday, September 25th from 10:30 -11:30am in Plamondon at the Festival Center. This is a partner program between the library and Parent Link designed for 0-5 years old and their caregivers. Remote Circulation will also be available at this location during this time slot.

Happening Homeschoolers will be held on Friday, September 28th from 1:30 - 2:30pm in the Wild Rose Room. All homeschooling families are welcome to attend this free event.

Storyteller and visual artist Karen Gummo will be visiting our libraries on October 16th as part of the Young Alberta Book Society Taleblazers tour. She will be sharing her stories with Teens and Adults at the Plamondon Municipal Library at 10:00am & at the Stuart MacPherson Branch at 2:00pm.
